About us
This child sexual abuse awareness and prevention website was created by the child sexual abuse prevention campaign, Stop it Now! UK and Ireland and the Lucy Faithfull Foundation (LFF). LFF is a child protection charity which manages Stop it Now! and is supported by an alliance of voluntary and statutory sector partners.
Stop it Now! UK and Ireland - www.stopitnow.org.uk
This campaign aims to prevent child sexual abuse by raising awareness and encouraging early recognition and responses to the problem by abusers themselves and those close to them.
It does this through:
- the establishment of national and regional projects based on partnerships between the local community and the statutory and voluntary agencies
- the dissemination of information
- the provision of a confidential helpline and email service
Stop it Now! believes sexual abuse is preventable and gives adults the information they need to protect children effectively whilst urging abusers and potential abusers to seek help. Stop it Now! encourages adults to create a society that no longer tolerates the sexual abuse of children.
It operates a confidential freephone helpline and email service - 0808 1000 900 / help@stopitnow.org.uk.

Lucy Faithfull Foundation - www.lucyfaithfull.org.uk
The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is committed to reducing the risk of children being sexually abused. LFF’s staff work with adult male and female sexual abusers; young people with inappropriate sexual behaviours; victims of abuse and other family members.
Established in 1993 and named after its founder Baroness Lucy Faithfull of Wolvercote, LFF draws on its cutting-edge knowledge about child sexual abuse in its broad range of activities.
These range from research based assessment and treatment of known offenders and their families, consultancy and training for professionals, to the prevention campaign Stop it Now! UK & Ireland and its Helpline, which is available to the general public and to professionals.
